FIGHT RULES.
Light Fight Night (LFN) enforces unified international combat sports standards across Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), Professional Boxing, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai to guarantee athlete safety, fair competition, and sportsmanship.
1. Weight Classes & Weigh-in Rules
All LFN contestants must weigh in strictly within official weight division boundaries during official weigh-in sessions conducted 24 hours prior to fight night:
- Flyweight: Up to 56.7 kg (125 lbs)
- Bantamweight: Up to 61.2 kg (135 lbs)
- Featherweight: Up to 65.8 kg (145 lbs)
- Lightweight: Up to 70.3 kg (155 lbs)
- Welterweight: Up to 77.1 kg (170 lbs)
- Middleweight: Up to 83.9 kg (185 lbs)
- Catchweight & Open Weight: By mutual bout agreement sanctioned by LFN Matchmaking.
2. Round Duration & Bout Length
- Standard Bouts: 3 Rounds × 3 Minutes with 1-Minute rest interval between rounds.
- Championship Title Bouts: 5 Rounds × 3 Minutes (or 5 Rounds × 5 Minutes for Pro MMA Titles).
3. Judging Criteria & 10-Point Must System
Bouts are scored by 3 ringside judges using the standard 10-Point Must System evaluated on:
- Effective Striking / Grappling: Damage inflicted, legal landing accuracy, ground control, and submission attempts.
- Effective Aggressiveness: Dictating combat tempo and seeking a finish.
- Octagon / Ring Control: Controlling space, center ring dominance, and defensive movement.
4. Medical Safety & Mandatory Clearances
LFN prioritizes fighter health. Mandatory safety checks enforced by Chief Operating Officer Devidas Dhangar include pre-fight medical exams, blood screening, ringside emergency doctor presence, and post-fight suspension protocols for knocked-out athletes.
